Diploma BUCHAREST Jubilee Award
Contact at least 5 stations in Bucharest, Romania's capital annually

YO-BZ Balkans Peace
Zone Award
Contact stations in different Balkan countries plus QSO in the number
of districts of YO per the list below.
Diploma issued in three classes as:
Class I: 24 QSO in 18 districts in 5 countries in the
Balkans + 6
districts of YO with 3 QSOs from each.
Class II: 21 QSO in 15 districts in 4 countries in the Balkans
+ 6 districts of YO with 2 QSOs from each.
Class III: 18 QSO in 12 districts in 3 countries in the Balkans
+ 6 districts of YO with 1 QSO from each.
The Balkan countries are: LZ, SV, SV5, SV9, SV/A, T9,
TA(European), YO, YU, 4O, Z3, ZA.
YO-DC Double Diploma Award call
Contact 26 stations which have double letters in their suffix from AA
to ZZ. Minimum required number of Romanian stations in this group for
YO is 8 stations, for Europe, 5 YO stations, and for DX, 2 YO
stations. Stations with three letter suffixes may be used
if their call has two of the letters next to each other: For example:
AAT or CCZ.
YO-DR Danube River Award
Contact stations in countries through which the Danube River flows.
These countries are: DL, ER,
OE, OM, HA, 9A, YU, LZ, YO, UR.
3 QSO’s are needed with each country, and 5 in Romania. Of the
total, at least three QSOs must be with cities which are located on
the banks of the Danube. On VHF, at least 3 and
YO are needed.
YO-DX-C award
Contact stations who are members of the YO DX Club.
Europeans need 5, Romanians need 10 and all others need 2 members.
YO-LC Large Cities Award
Contact stations which are located in the major cities in Romania as
listed below.
Diploma issued in three classes:
Class I: EU need 30 DX QSO in 30 major cities: DX 20 in 20
cities VHF: 10 QSO in 10 cities
Class II EU need: 20 DX QSO in 20 major cities: DX 10 in 10
cities VHF 8 QSO of 8 cities.
Class III EU need 10 DX QSO in 10 major cities; DX: 5 in 5
cities VHF 6

Contact 64 stations of which at least 8 of which are in Romania, as
follows:
Horizontal row of the chess board is filled with eight stations YO
worked. In each box vertically, make the other: seven indicative (or
YO) where their suffix has at least one common letter, the same, with
the suffix of the first box YO station.
For example: first station listed is YO3KAA, the key point is K, the
following is the listing of the vertical row: JA1KKZ, DL1KP, W5IK,
YO6KBM, HA8AK, LZ1KWT, I1KKK.
YO-CM-Masters Diploma Award
In this case, first row are members of YO DX Club, the vertically can
also use the same member YO DX Club, but worked in different bands.
YO-NC Diploma Award Call Namesake
Contact 5 stations which
have the same suffix as yours. Stations with a three-letter
suffix only need 3 different stations with identical suffixes. .

This degree was instituted for those who fail to submit evidence that
they made contacts with stations in countries crossed the meridian 25
East, including a station YO.

VHF: 8 countries + YO
Class III 5 QSO of 5 countries
VHF: 1 country + YO

YO-45P 45th Parallel award
Contact stations located in countries through which the 45th parallel
passes, including a station YO.

Contact ARER members after 1 Mar 1993, earn 10 points. YO9KYR = 5, all other members = 1 each.
Forest's Moon (Luna-P~durii)
Work 11 YO stations during the period of March 15 to April 15 each year (2 must be members of ARER) using any one letter of their suffix to spell the term "LUNA PADURII". May be earned each year.
Day of the Earth - 22 April (Ziua Pamîntului)
Work 23 YO stations during the period of 20 to 30 April each year (at least 3 must be ARER members - from YO9KYE use "e") to spell the phrase "THE DAY OF THE EARTH - 22 APRIL". Any letter from the suffix of the 21 stations may be used for the words, and you must work 2 YO2 stations for the "22". May be earned each year.
Reservation - Bucegi (Rezervatěa Bucegi)
Work YO9KYE/P from at least 4 different chalets/QTH's after 1-1-94.
Century of "Grigore Antipa" Museum (Centenarul Muzeului "Grigore Antipa")
Work 31 YO stations using any one letter of their suffix to spell the phrase: "THE CENTURY OF GRIGORE ANTIPA MUSEUM" or "CENTENARUL MUZEULUI GRIGORE ANTIPA". At least 5 of the stations must be ARER members, and at least one station from each of the following counties: BT (Botosani), IS (Iasi), and BU (Bucharest).

Valley of Prahova (Valea Prahovei)
Worked fixed or portable stations from the towns: Predeal, Azuga, Busteni, Sinaia, Comarnic, Breaza or Cimpana. Class I = 6 towns, Class II = 5 towns, Class III = 4 towns. Contacts after 1-1-94. May be earned each year.
Cezar Petrescu's Century (Centenar Cezar Petrescu)
Contact 13 ARER members whose any letter of their suffix spells the phrase "CEZAR PETRESCU". You must use YO9KYE for one of the "E's" and one contact from the town of Busteni which has a memorial house for this famous Romanian. Contacts after 1-1-94. May be earned each year.
Natural Reservations of Romania (Rezervatiile Naturale Ale Romaniei)
Work stations from YO counties which contain Nature Reservations. You must use at least 10 ARER members. Class I = 20, Class II = 18, Class III = 16. Counties valid for this award are: AG BZ BH BN BV CJ CV CS CT DB GR GJ HD HR IF MH NT PH SB SV TL TM VL. Contacts after 1-1-94.
ECO-Delta of Danube River (ECO-Delta Dunarii)
Earn 10 points by contacting fixed or portable stations in Tulcea county after 1-1-94. Club stations = 2 points, all others = 1.
Blue Danube (Dun~rea Alabastr~)
Make 10 QSO's in countries which the Danube flows through. At least 5 countries are needed and 5 towns which are located near Danube river ports. One ARER member is required. Contacts after 1 May 1994.
Paracelsus - 500
Spell the word "PARACELSUS" from any of the suffixes of 10 stations. At least one must be a YO from Mures (MS) county and one from HB9 - Switzerland. The YO stations must be ARER members. Contacts after 1 May 1994.
The Men of Science From Romania (Oameni de Stiintá Romani)
Contact YO's from counties where famous Romanian Men of Science were born, plus one OE1 from Wien/Vienna, Austria. Each of the following counties are needed: AB BZ AG BC BV BT DJ VS IS MH NT, Bucharest and Wien/Vienna, Austria OE1. At least 5 ARER members are required. Contacts after 1 May 1994.
Emil Racovita - 125
Contact 11 ARER members whose any letters of their suffix spells the name "EMIL RACOVITA". They must include Vaslui (VS) and Iasi (IS) counties. Contacts after 1 May 1994.
ECO - Black Sea (ECO - Marea Neagrá)
Contact each of the countries which border the Black Sea (YO, LZ, TA, UB, UA and UF). The YO must be a ARER member from Tulcea (TL) or Constantza (CT) county. Contacts after 1 May 1994.
Robert Koch - 150 (1843-1910)
Contact 10 stations using any letters of their suffix to spell the name "ROBERT KOCH". 6 must be ARER members and one must be a DL - Germany. Contacts after 1 May 1994.
The Century of Society Mining and Iron - Cálan (Centenarul Societatii Miniere Si Siderurgile - Cálan)
Earn 10 points by working YO's in Cálan. ARER members = 2 points, others = 1. Same station may be worked on different bands or modes for added points. Contacts after 1 May 1994.
ECO - Romania
Work all the counties of Romania - using members of ARER.
Award of Latin (Diploma Latinitátii)
Work Latin countries of the world. The YO station must be a member of ARER.
Class I - 4 continents and 30 Latin countries.
Class II - 3 continents and 20 Latin countries.
Class III - 2 continents and 10 Latin countries.
Award of Honor - ARER (Diploma De Onoare ARER)
Issued free of charge to any amateur or SWL who has earned any 15 of the 19 awards listed above.
Bacau Award
Contact stations in BACAU county after 1 January 1955. SWL OK. Endorsements for one band or mode upon request. Each Bacau QSO = 1 point, and if worked during MOLDOVA contest = 4 points. 1st Class = 30 points, 2nd Class = 20 points, 3rd Class = 10 points. Danube Islands Explorer Program
Contact stations which are operating on islands located on the Danube river on or after 1 January 2010. Many of Danube islands are part of nature reserves, so that contacts may also count for Nature awards such as the WFF series.
Their website listed below contains lists of the known islands on the Danube River as it flows through: Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Slovakia. Each island has a code of 3 letters and 2 digits, depending on the country. This designator should be used in your application. The lists shows: code for the island, denomination, grid-locator, geographical coordinates and various annotation such as access points, WFF areas, etc. As new information is developed, it will be added to each island.
For island hunters:
The Basic award is given for QSO's with at least 5 different islands (one
QSO/island).
Higher class awards are granted for each new group of 5 islands.
Awards may be endorsed for all one country, or for modes and bands. For stations
who make QSO's with islands on all 7 Danube countries, a special award will be
given.
Activators: Awards are avaiilable in three classes:
1. Island activator: activation of at least 3 different islands or 6
activation at least 2 different islands.
2. Island explorer: activation of at least 5 different islands or 10 activations
at least 3 different islands.
3. Island explorer master: activation of at least 10 different islands of at
least 5 countries.
The awards sent electronically, are free of charge. The cost of a printed and plasticized award is: 5 Euro or 6 USD. If the electronic award is wished, send list to the e-mail address shown below. DXFF Diploma Let's Save Our Planet Earth
Work and can prove you have made contacts with stations operating in parks or nature reserves around the world (according to the official DXCC list). The basic award is issued for a minimum 10 different entities worked. For each additional group of 10 new entities a new award with a different design will be issued. The awards may be endorsed for different modes or/and bands. Diploma can be obtained supplying confirmation via the WFF database (
http://wff44.com/ ) or by providing copies of QSL cards received. The award can also be delivered in electronic format as a jpg image to be printed on your own equipment.The fee for the first DXFF Diploma (10 entities) is 5 euros or 5 valid IRC, and is delivered in a printed format. The next upgraded awards are issued free of charge if you agree to receive the award in electronic format (. pdf file). If you wish, the award can be mailed to you in printed format, and the fee will be 5 euros or 5 valid IRC each.

Romanian Historical Objects Program Award
This series is sponsored by the YODX Club. Submit proof of contacts (SWL OK) with stations located on the premises ( operating /P) or within one kilometer of listed historical objects located on the territory of Romania. These "objects" include (1) castles, (2) Palaces and (3) Fortresses. Each "object" has an identification code which consists of a group of two letters designating the county where the object is located, a letter classifying the object (c = castle, p = palace and f = fortress.), and a unique serial number. Contacts on or after January 1, 2009. No restriction on bands and modes. Each of the awards may be earned for contacting at least 10 QSOs/SWL receptions.
