BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA               SARAJEVO Award 

The Radio Club of Sarajevo is celebrating 60 years of successful activity. To honour this anniversary the Club has established the SARAJEVO award. Available to all amateurs and SWLs thoughout the world for contacting stations / SWL reports from Sarajevo. A contact with special stations E71ALM or E760ALM (also T91ALM and T960ALM) is required.

Requirements:
a. EU stations - at least 5 different stations from Sarajevo.
b. DX stations - at least 3 different Sarajevo stations.
c. E7 stations - at least 10 different Sarajevo stations

Same requirements for SWL stations. Contacts on or after January 1st, 2007 on all bands and modes. The diploma can be endorsed for a single band or mode. Requests received prior December 31st, 2007 will get an additional golden sticker commemorating the 60th anniversary.

THE ACTIVATED LIGHTHOUSES AWARD
Activating 10 Lighthouses is the same as above regarding operation but a minimum of 10 Stations should be worked from each lighthouse to qualify as activated . At least 2 BARLS members must have been worked from each one. A photograph of each lighthouse activated should be submitted by the "Activator" to be used on the certificates. Important: unless a photograph is submitted by the activator claims for that particular activity will be deemed VOID. ALL photographs will be returned if so requested.

There are worldwide about 400 amateur stations which are technically able to make EME (Earth to Moon to Earth)  connections. This award is only for contacts using EME after 1 January 2007. Class 3 = 50 contacts. Class 2 = 100 contacts. Class 3 150 contacts. Each call counts only once no matter on which band the EME connection was made. Germany                        Worked German Colonies Award

The "First Dxpeditioners Club" has issued this award as an incentive to recall the history of the former German colonies and to establish amateur radio contacts to foster understanding and friendship with these countries. Many persons may not be aware that Germany administered a number of colonies in the Pacific, South America and Africa ending in 1918. The award is available in two grades for amateur radio operators and SWLs for contacts in all modes (and mixed) after October 3rd, 1990, the day of the German reunification.

Silver Grade: for contacts with all areas (1-13)plus a "joker" for Kiautschou/Tsingtao

Germany                         750 Jahre Stadt Hermsdorf / Thüringen

This award started in 2006 to commemorate the 750th Anniversary of the city Hermsdorf. SWL OK. Earn 20 points by contacting stations from the DARC district Thüringen ( at least 5 stations from DOK X46 and 5 other stations from district Thüringen). Each valid contact = 1 point. The club stations DL0HDF or DN1HDF = 10 points and is mandatory for all classes.

Class 2: ON VHF and UHF count only direct contacts.

GERMANY                           Hussiten-Diplom

The term Hussiten refers to the Czech reformer and theologian January Hus (about 1370). His criticisms of the Catholic Church at the time inspired later theologians John Wyclif and Martin Luther. The Hussitens were strong in certain areas of Germany which are made a part of this award. This award is sponsored by the OV Berlin (Y-14) to commemorate their 50th anniversary of the club. SWL OK. The diploma may be earned by either HF or VHF contacts. Contacts on or after 1 January 1990. Special endorsement if all contacts are made on one band.

Issued by the German DARC Divison Mittelrgein (DOK K32) for contacting stations from the DOKs K05, K32, K43 and Z1. Contacts after January 1st 2007 are valid. SWL OK.

Requirements:
a. Germans need 40 points
b. other Europeans 30
c. stations outside Europe need 20 points.

Point Values:
a. Stations with a DN prefix count 10 points,
b. club stations DL0LR (K05), DK0MR (K32), DK0VR (K43) and DL0KO ( Z11) count 5 points c. other stations in these DOK’s count 3 points each.

GERMANY               Mittweida Award

The city of Mittweida is located in Saxony and has a famous college. The DARC division Mittweida (DOK S44) is issuing this award for contacting club members and HAMs who are studying or have studied at the college of Mittweida. The college celebrates its 140th anniversary in 2007. For that reason contacts after January 1st 2007 only are valid. There are a few exceptions to this date however: contacts with the clubstation of the college and non German students are valid from as early as 1924.     Each station may be worked on several bands to get extra points. 100 points are need.

QSO Points calculation:
1. Former special event stations DM8MST, DT3EN, DM8HIS and the special DOKs 75MIT, 80MIT, HTWM140 = 20 points each.
2. Clubstation (see list of calls below) of the college = 10 points each.
3.Non German HAMs who are studying/studied at the college = 5 points.
4. Member stations of DOK S44 = 5 points each.
5. QSOs with "Mittweidaern" = 3 points each. (a list of "Mittweidaern" stations is available at http://www.htwm.de/dk0mit/mw_award.pdf )

GERMANY                  Ruhr Castle Diploma

The German amateur radio club Ortsverband Oberhausen (DOK L18) sponsors this award, which can be requested by radio amateurs SWLs for contacts with castles or fortresses in the Ruhr District on or after 1 January 2007 with /Portable/Mobile stations, which operate no further than a distance of 500 Meters of a valid castle or fortification in the Ruhr district (district L). Each castle or fortress has a Ruhr castle number/a reference number (RBN). This RBN number should be given to you by the /P-Station in the QSO and be noted clearly on the QSL card. For a diploma request each RBN number can be used only once for each band. DL stations need 7 different RBN numbers, other European Union stations 5 different RBN numbers and DX-stations just 3 different RBN numbers. For the award, all bands and modes of operation are permitted . Contacts by packet radio or echo-link are not permitted. The award may be issued for a single band or mode. GERMANY                Das Seligenstadter Geleitdiplom        

Awarded by the Radioamateur Club of Seligenstadt (F-38), this award celebrates a 200 year old tradition of the path of horse drawn vendors who regularly traveled from Augsburg to Seligenstadt. SWL OK.  All contacts after the 1st of January 2007 are valid. Contact stations from the radioamateur clubs along the historical route of the escort, starting from Augsburg to Nürnberg over Seligenstadt to Frankfurt/Main.

Requirements:

[This is the date when the German armies attacked Russia in 1942.]

Diploma "IRDA - association" is distributed for the contacting stations located in different districts of Irkutsk region and Ust' -Ordynskogo buryat autonomous area. This award was developed to recognize the 100th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Kamalagin UA4IF. He was a HAM radio veteran since 1929; a famous contester, DXer and radio expert.

Sponsored by the Samara Regional Council of Soyuz Radiolyubitelei Rossii (SRR). Available to any amateur or SWL for earning 100 points from the following table:

1. Any QSO with UA4IF (till Aug. 4, 1975.) = 100 points.

                    "Alis Volat Propriis"

Sponsored by the Salem A.R.C for contacting Oregon counties on or after 1 January 2007.  "Alis Volat Propriis", is the Oregon state motto, meaning "She Flies With Her Own Wings", appropriate for radio communication and this award.  The basic certificate is issued for contacting 25 of Oregon’s 36 counties. Endorsements for 30, and all 36 counties. Endorsements must follow the band or modes used to complete the original certificate. Endorsements available for any band or mode combination. Contacts with mobile, portable or fixed stations on county lines are valid as long as the QSL or log extract clearly states the counties involved. Contacts via repeaters, digipeaters, moon-bounce, satellites, packet, pactor, RTTY, and similar systems are acceptable, from any and all locations. Contacts made while mobile or portable in the State of Oregon are valid, and that travelers in Oregon can use repeater contacts anywhere in the state to work any of the counties. SWL OK. VHF - RUSSIA                   Russian VHF Trophy

Sponsored by the "Ether" radio club from Efremov, Russia for making contacts on 2 meters, 70cm and 23cm using all types of modulation, including TROPO, ES, AURORA, MS, FAI, EME, IONO. Contacts since 1-1-1992. No use of active repeaters is allowed. You must have received the QSL card of the other station.

Russian stations should earn at least 100 points, for all others, they must earn at least 50 points only with stations within the territory of Russia. Contacts with the same station will count if they are made in another grid square or band. The applicant must make all contacts from one grid square.

Point Values - contacts with different grid squares:
2 meters = 1 point.
70cm = 2 points.
23cm = 3 points.
