BELGIUM                             Worked all WAASLAND

The WLD-Award is issued by one of the Oldest Radio Clubs of the Union of the Belgian Radio Amateurs (UBA). Contact club members after 31 Dec 2005. The Waasland is a region in Flanders, Belgium.

Europeans need 20 points, all others (or SWLs) need 15. 
Each WLD-member can be worked /heard only once per band.(whatever the mode).
There are NO mode restrictions. No use of repeaters.
ON6WL/ON60WLD call must be included for European applicants.

Each qso with a WLD-member = 1 point.
Extra points can be obtained in various ways :
a QSO/SWL Report with a portable WLD-station = 2 extra points
a QSO/SWL Report with a xyl = 1 extra point
a QSO /SWL Report with a WLD-station outside Belgium = 2 extra points

These points can be cumulative, for example : a QSO/SWL Report with a portable XYL-station on holiday outside Belgium = a total of 6 points.

Sponsored by the Radio Club of Chile.  This award honors Chilean poet and 1971 Nobel prize recipient Pablo Neruda (Neftali Reyes Basoalto). Contact stations as listed on HF using any band and mode, in countries and CE zones where Neruda lived and worked:

England                      GBØANT / GB4IPY Award

This Award is available for Contacts with either 'GBØANT' or 'GB4IPY' via their Sponsor, MØOXO and is available at three levels:
a. Level one - Bronze Award       (Certificate - 4 Contacts)
b. Level two - Silver Award       (Medallion - 8 Contacts) and
c. Level three - Gold award       (Trophy - 12 Contacts)

Level One - Bronze Award: 4 Contacts to be made (verified on application) with either 'GBØANT' or 'GB4IPY' since January 2005. All Bands and Modes are OK but no Repeaters. Awards are good for SWL too. Qsl Cards NOT required.
Level Two - Silver Award: 8 Contacts to be made with either 'GBØANT' or 'GB4IPY'.
Level Three - Gold Award: 12 Contacts to be made with either 'GBØANT' or 'GB4IPY'.

Bands available : 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, 30, 40 & 80m. Modes available : SSB, CW & PSK31.  Each Station may be worked only once per band per mode.  The Home Call of the Operators 'MØOXO' or 'G4RCG' can be used as the 'Jolly' or 'Joker' station in order to replace any ONE station in any band, any Mode. The 'Joker' can be used ONCE only in each of the three levels of Award. Qsl Cards are NOT required.

You should specify the exact name you wish on the award or trophy. The Callsign 'GB4IPY' is only available until the end of 'International Polar Year' IN 2009. The Award will then only be available by working 'GBØANT' or 'MØOXO' as detailed above......

World Championship Award

Contact towns where the world championship of football (USA = soccer) have been held.

Class 1 - 10 towns on two bands (20 QSOs).
Class 2 - 10 towns on one band (10 QSOs).

Build a chain of 20 countries where the last letter of the first country is the first letter of the next one, and so on. 
I.E., GermanY,  YemeN, NicaraguA. etc.

This award started in 1998 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the DARC OV Vegasack, DOK I14. SWK OK. Earn 100 points by contact stations from the four OV’s of Bremen, DOK’s I04, I14, I53 and Z02. Point value: HF: OM = 10 points, YL 20 points and Clubstation 10 points. VHF is 10, 15 and 10. UHF 10.20 and 10 points. Clubstations from DOK I14, DF0RY and DO0BVS = 30 points each and one with at least 2 stations from DOK I14 are mandatory. Contacts after 1 January 1998. All bands and modes. GERMANY                        75 Years DARC Club Bonn

Issued by the DARC Division Bonn (DOK G03) on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the club. SWL OK. Contacts after January 1, 2002 only. German stations need 500 points, Europeans stations need 400 points, stations outside Europe need 300 points

Points can be collected as follow:
a. Each station with DOK G03 = 10 points; at least 10 of these members must be worked. Any station with the special DOK "75BN" in the year 2002 = 25 points each.
b. DL0OV and DL0KA clubstation = 20 points each.
c. Other German stations = 5 points each.
d. Each European DXCC entity = 5 points, at least 20 entities should be worked.
e. Each DXCC entiry outside Europe = 10 points, at least 10 entities should be worked.
f. CW contacts count double.

11 contacts are required: One QSO with UE6FBR or RZ6HXK is obligatory. 10 QSO's with the cities of Caucasus Mineral Waters: Minvody, Zheleznovodsk, Pyatigorsk, Essentuki, Kislovodsk. RUSSIA                          Caucasus Mountains Award

Make 50 contacts with amateur radio stations operating on Caucasus mountain expeditions. Contacts must be from Caucasus mountains and hills, as long as a minimum height of 700 meters or above and are located between the Caspian and Black Seas, in the territory of Russia (R6A, R6E, R6H, R6J, R6P, R6Q, R6W, R6X or R6Y), Georgia (4L), Azerbaijan (4K, 4J), and Armenia (EK). All bands and modes. No contacts via repeaters, contacts on more than one band during the expedition or QSOs made by mixed modes. A maximum of 15 contacts with the same mountain are allowed.

Sponsored by the Smolensk Radioclub of ROSTO. During WWII (The Great Patriotic War), certain cities were designated as "Hero Cities" honoring their special efforts. Contact stations located in hero cities of the former USSR: Moscow, Leningrad (now St-Petersburg), Minsk, Kiev, Volgograd, Kerch, Murmansk, Novorossiysk, Odessa, Smolensk, Sevastopol, Tula, and Brest.

No time, band and mode limits. European and Asian HAM's must contact each of the 13 cities. SWL OK. The award is issued in CW, Phone, Mixed, RTTY, VHF and SWL. RUSSIA                 Hero of Soviet Union Colonel Semen Sergeyevich Kiselev Award

Sponsored by the club station RK2SWZ and municipality of Chuchkovo (Ryazanskaya oblast). This award is issued to honor the memory of the hero of Soviet Union Colonel Semen Sergeyevich Kiselev, who was born in Chuchkovsky region of Ryazanskaya oblast. To obtain the award work HAMs of Ryazanskaya oblast. One QSO with the Chuchkovsky region is mandatory (RDA - RA-30). All contacts must be made within one calendar year: Jan 1 till Dec 31. SWL OK.

Earn 100 points. Points value:
a. QSO with Ryazanskaya oblast's HAM's = 10 points;
b. QSO with any club station from Ryazanskaya oblast = 20 points;
c. QSO with memorial station of "Pobeda" (Victory) memorial = 10 points;
d. QSO with WWII veterans = 30 points;

RUSSIA                        Free Kuban Award

Sponsored by the Krasnodarsky kray Radiosport federation. The award honors the foundation of Ekaterinodar (now - Krasnodar) and Cossac settlements (kuren or stanitsa) in 1793. All settlements were 40. Now they are stanitsas in 20 administrative regions (RDA) in Krasnodarsky kray.

To obtain the award, amateurs in CIS countries must work 20 stations from 10 regions. Foreign HAM's need 10 stations from 5 regions. QSOs must have been made on or after Jan 1 2003. RUSSIA                         200 years of Admiral Nakhimov

Sponsored by the Smolensk branch of Moscow Energetic Institute, the Smolensk Youth Center and the museum of Admiral Nahimov.  Contact stations located in the Smolenskaya oblast (the birthplace of the Admiral), Arkhangelsk, St-Petersburg, Kronstadt, and Sevastopol (places of navy service). The number of QSO's with Smolenskaya oblast must be no less 50% of total QSO's. All bands and modes OK. Every station counts only once. QSO's on and after Jan 1 2002.

European and Asian HAMs must work 10 QSO's. Other continents - 5 QSO's.  160 meters and CW QSO's count double. RUSSIA                             Afanasy Nikitin Award

Sponsored by the Club 22 in Tver. This is one of the oldest awards of the former USSR!

Afanasy Nikitin, the famous merchant and one of the first Europeans to travel to and document his visit to India. He was born in Tver in the late 1400's. For European stations: work 30 stations from Tverskaya oblast. Any station may be worked several times for credit on different bands.
