AB Family Award

Available in 3 different methods:

1. Work 3 different stations with AB in suffix on CW
2. Work 5 different stations with AB in suffix on SSB or
3. Work RV6AB on 2 bands, using any mode.

Adygeya Award

Make 10 contacts with different stations from Republic of Adygeya (obl. AD) on or after 1 September 2001. On 160 m only 5 stations are needed. All bands or modes may be used. Sponsored by the Radioclub of Mineralniye Vody to honor and publicize the annual international festival of hot-air balloons in the cities of Caucasus Mineral Waters.

 Altai Award

Earn 30 points by working stations of Altai krai (oblast AL) after 1 January 2002. Contact with club station RK9YWW = 3 points, other club stations = 2, individual stations = 1. Additional requirement: Not less than 5 districts of Altai krai must be present in the application. For contacts on 1.8 MHz point values are doubled. For contacts on VHF point values are trebled. On VHF (144 MHz) only 30 points are needed (no additional requirement). No use of repeaters. Repeated contacts with the same stations are not credited. Point values are doubled for stations outside Asiatic Russia. SWL OK.  DIPLOMA "AMUR"

Offered by the Amur Provincial Council and the Amur Radio Club for contacting stations of the Amur Region on or after 1 January 1965. You must contact 25 stations on any bands, including WARC, but no fewer than 5 of the regions of Amur on the list of the RDA award. One contact with club station RZ0JWA is needed.

Stations of the Amur region need no fewer than 150 contacts with any stations of Russia or CIS countries during one calendar year.

ARKTIKA Radioclub Series

General requirements: This club was founded in 1989 in order to support all polar amateurs and members of Arctic expeditions, to sponsor awards to provide interest in this region and in general to support greater general knowledge of the world in Arctic regions. Several of the awards require contacting members. 

If you are interested in becoming a member, an amateur from ANY country must meet one of the following criteria (no time limits):

     a. live in and operate an amateur station in any QTH North of the Polar Circle.
     b. take part in any arctic or antarctic dx-pedition.
     c. win 1st to 3rd place in the "Arctic Cup" contest.
     d. earn all 3 awards offered by the "RAA" (award, pennant, and medal)

Life Membership fee is 20€ or $US20 which should be sent to: Dmytro Ostrenko KY2T, 21 Somerset Dr. 12-R, Suffern, NY 10901. Supply your arctic call sign, QTH and time period when the call sign was active.

The club sponsors an activity week every year from 21-24 September to make it easier for you to earn any of the following awards. During this week, the RAA may be earned with just 10 member contacts, the ARKTIKA-V with 20 and the RAA Gold Medal with 30.

          Radioclub "ARKTIKA" Award (RAA)

Confirm contacts on any bands or modes with Arctic areas and RC "Arktika" members on or after 24 Sept 1989. 
Cards are not needed. Earn 67 points from the following schedule:

a. "ARKTIKA" members (a minimum of 5 different members) = 3 points each.
b. any station residing in the Arctic (within the Polar circle) = 1 point each.

Award is available for CW, SSB, Mixed, QRP, RTTY, SSTV, Digital or SWL endorsement. Fee is 5€,  $US5 or 7 IRC to KY2T

          "ARKTIKA - V" Pennant

This is a continuation of the ARKTIKA Award shown above. 100 points are needed. Fee is 5€,  $US5 or 7 IRCs. The award is a colorful 
cloth pennant.

           "RAA Gold Medal"

This is a continuation of the ARKTIKA Award and Pennant described above. 167 points are needed. Fee 5€,  $US5 or 7 IRCs. .

          "Diplom of Arctic Travel" (DAT)

Please follow this procedure: write to the award manager UA6LTO/0 at the address shown above telling him the latitude and 
longitude of your station. Enclose 1 IRC. Be as accurate as possible. You will receive a special application and participant number 
for the DAT program. He will calculate the number of points you need; basically the distance between your QTH and the nearest
Pole, in number of kilometers. You will need to earn this number of points from the following table:

a. QSO with any arctic DAT-QTH = 50 points.
b. QSO with Arctic Island = 100 points.
c. QSO with DX-pedition to the North Pole = 200 points.
d. QSO with any RC "Arktika" member = 50 points.
e. QSO with any RC "Arktika" HQ member = 60 points.

When you have made all the needed contacts, send the completed form/application to UA6LTO/9 at the above address and fee of 
7€, $US7 or 10 IRCs  to KY2T.

In Memory of Azov Navy Seamen

Contact stations in the town of Primorsko-Achtarsk  and Primorsko-Achtarsk district. You must earn points representing the number of elapsed years since 1941, i.e., during 2002 - 61 points; during 2003 – 62 points, during 2004 – 63 points etc.
    A. Each individual station of Primorsko-Achtarsk town and district counts 3 points.
    B. Club station RV6AWL counts 5 points.
    C. For contacts during the annual days of activity (Navy day, Town day, Victory day, Armed Forces Amateur Radio Union (AFARU) days) these point values are doubled.
     D.  Memorial station RP6AWF/UE6AWF counts 20 points.
The same call may be worked for credit on  different calendar days (but only during days of activity). Sponsored by the Federation of Radio Sport of Ryazan region and Administration of municipal education of Skopin of Ryazan. During the period of one calendar year earn 100 points by making contacts from the table below. All contacts made on August 21 count double.

     1. Contacts with stations of Skopin, Skopin region (birthplace of the Marshal), RA6UK, UA6AKY or UA3AKA = 15.
     2. U3ST = 20.
     3. Radio stations of Ryazan oblast = 10.
     4.Contact with the following regions where Marshall Biruzov commanded WWII forces all = 2. These are Braynsk oblast, Volgograd oblast, c) Donetsk oblast, Poltava oblast,
and Bulgaria.
     5. Contact with the countries comprising ex-Yugoslavia = 5.
     6. Contacts on 160 meters are doubled in value.
     7. For stations in zones 17, 18, 19 and 23 all contacts are doubled in value (for Russia).
     8. Repeated contacts on different bands are allowed for credit.
     9. On VHF just contact once Skopin town and Ryazan oblast twice.

DIPLOMA "BLAGOVESHCHENK"

Sponsored by the Blagoveshenk United Technical school and Radio Club "Amur". Contact stations of Blagoveshchenk and the Blagoveshchenskeyeo region of the Amur (regions AM-01 to AM-10 of the RDA award) on or after 1 January 1003. Earn 100 points.

Point values:

a. RZ0JWA = 50 points;
b. other club stations in the regions above = 20 points;
c. category 1 stations = 10 points;
d. category 2 stations = 15 points;
e. category 3 and 4 categories = 20 points;
f. SWL card from Blagoveshchenska and Blagoveshchenskeyeo region = 20 points;
g. VHF - 144MHz or higher, only one contact needed.

For amateurs of the Amur region it is necessary to contact no less than 100 qso with any amateurs of Russia (except Amur) and countries OF THE CIS, or to participate is not less than in one of the competitions, organized by radio clubs and FRS of the Far East RF, or by radio club "Crystal". Contacts on different bands with the same station may be counted for each band.

Caucasus Mountains Award

Make 50 contacts with amateur radio stations operating on Caucasus mountain expeditions. Contacts must be from Caucasus mountains and hills, as long as a minimum height of 700 meters or above and are located between the Caspian and Black Seas, in the territory of Russia (R6A, R6E, R6H, R6J, R6P, R6Q, R6W, R6X or R6Y), Georgia (4L), Azerbaijan (4K, 4J), and Armenia (EK). All bands and modes. No contacts via repeaters, contacts on more than one band during the expedition or QSOs made by mixed modes. A maximum of 15 contacts with the same mountain are allowed.

Chayka Award.        (/Rewrite 6/2208 tks to RA1AE)

This award commemorates the memory of the first woman cosmonaut, Valentina Tereshkowa whose radio call in space in 1963 was "CHAJKA". During any one calendar year, earn the number of points which equal the years since her 1963 flight.  (For example, in 2007, you will need 2007-1963 = 44) 44 points, in 2008 = 45 points. 

Point value:

1. QSO with stations from Yaroslavskaya oblast (Russia) = 1 point.
2. QSO with stations from Tutayevsky region of Yaroslavskaya oblast, birthplace of Tereshkova = 3 points.
3. QSO with any YL operator from Yaroslavskaya oblast = 4 points.
4. QSO with any special event station from Yaroslavskaya oblast = 5 points.
5. QSO with a special event station, devoted to Tereshkova’s flight = 10 points.
6. QSOs with the stations located in the cities of Kaluga (RF), Karaganda and Baykonur (UN), Ghyumri (EK), Vitebsk (EU), Montreux and Drancy (F), Montgomery (G), Polizzi-Generosa (I), Darkhan (JT), Sofia, Burgas, Petrich, Stara-Zagora, Pleven, Varna (LZ), Bratislava (OM) where Tereshkova was honored the title "Honorary Citizen", the towns of Korolev and Zvezdny Gorodok (Russia, Moskovskaya oblast). Every QSO with these cities and towns = 1 point.

All modes and bands. The same station may be worked for credit on other bands, including WARC and UHF. Points for QSO’s with Yaroslavskaya oblast on VHF and during the activity days (one week after 15th of June every year) are doubled in value. SES give usual value of points. SWL OK. VASILY IVANOVICH CHAPAYEV Award
(Hero of Civil War, perished in 1920).

Sponsored by the Chuvash regional department of SRR for making 10 QSOs with different stations from Chuvash Republic (R4Y) on HF, or 1 QSO with the memorial station UE4YWI, or 1 QSO on VHF/UHF. Cosmic Legend Award

This award was established in honor of Yuri Gagarin's first flight to space in 1961.  The number of points required starts with 40 if earned in 2001, and goes up by one for each following year: for 2002, 41 points needed, in 2003, 42 points, etc.

Point values:

    1. for each QSO with radio amateurs of the Saratov Region (UA4C.., UV4C..., UW4C..., RA4C..., RZ4C....) and members of AFARU = 1 point.
    2. for QSO with special stations R4CG, R3CPK, R3K, RK1G = 5 points.
    3. for QSOs with radio amateurs who are astronauts or cosmonauts = 10 points.

Flight of Friendship Award

The diploma was established in 2002 in honour of the 65th anniversary flight of crew of plane ANT-25 under the direction V.P.Tchkalov from Shchelkovo the Moscow area through North Pole to Vancouver, Washington, USA.

To earn the award, you should complete one of the following requirements:

1 QSO with amateurss in Shchelkovo and 1 QSO with Vancouver (Washington) or Portland (Oregon) USA.

1. Cities of Russia Awards 

Contact cities of Russia on or after 1 January 2005. Endorsements available for any single band, HF or VHF or for any single mode. Special endorsements available for contacts made by satellite, QRP (<5W) or QRPp (<0.5 watts).  Contacts having status of a city at the time of QSO are counted. All stations with ground stations, including mobile, or those on rivers and lakes are valid. All coutacts must have been made from your same call sign area, or if your country does not have call areas, then from the same country.  Application must contain QSO data, call sign, date, band mode, and the name of the Russian City and it’s respective number. GCR list and fee of 10E (plaque is 35E).  List of all eligible Russian cities and the official application form is found on their website.

     CORA100 - 1100

Contacts (SWL OK) amateurs in at least 100 cities of Russia. Separate awards issued for 200 through 1100 different cities.

     WACORA

Work All the Cities of Russia. Work each of the cities of Russia. The award is is a wooden plaque.

 

2. Time Zones Award

Contacts must be made on or after May 1, 2005. Only contacts with ground stations are valid. All QSOs should be made from the same time zone.  Supply list of contacts with complete QSO data in order by ascending time zone.
Cost of the diploma $US12, cost of endorsement is 2 IRC. Cost of the plaque is $US35.

Time Zones Award contacting (SWL) HAMs in each one of 24 various time zones of the world. Twenty four QSOs in all.

TZA-ALL


Diploma TZA-ALL (All time zones of the world) awarded for contacts (SWL)with amateur stations in all time zones of the Earth. It is necessary to provide a one contact with the each of time zone of the Earth. Since there are some odd shaped zones, there are a total of Forty QSOs needed to compete this award.

5B-TZA


The diploma 5B-TZA (Time zones on five bands) is issued to radio amateurs of all world for contacting (SWL) amateur stations in all time zones of the Earth on the following five different bands (3.6, 7, 14, 21, 28) with at least 24 time zones on each band. One hundred and twenty QSOs in all. If you complete these requirements, you will receive both a paper award and a small plaque.

3. TRANSSIB Award

Make contact with amateurs in the 3 cities which form the beginning (Moscow UA3), middle, Irkutsk City (UA0S) and eastern terminus of Vladivostok (UA0L) of this legendary railroad.  The 3 contacts may be made on any band or mode after August, 1, 2005. Endorsements are issued for contacts made with low power.   Send list, containing usual QSO data plus name of the city and fee of 10 IRC or $US10. Endorsement fee is 4 IRC.

4. BAIKAL Award

The BAIKAL award is available for the QSO's with amateur radio stations, located in Irkutskaya oblast (RA0S), Ust-Ordynsky Autonomic Buryat Okrug (RA8T) and Buryat Republic (RA0O). All bands and modes are allowed. 

   From the letters of the names of the towns worked you must form the word BAIKAL". For example a contact with  BRATSK will provide the letters B, A, and K. A contact with ULAN-UDE will provide the letters L and A etc. 
   The award is also available for just one QSO with any amateur in the towns of BAIKALSK, SEVEROBAIKALSK and port BAIKAL.  Also just one QSO with a station located on the lake (either /MM or from the Ice).   Award fee is 18 IRC, 12$US, or 10€ . Endorsements are available for QRP (less than 5w.) or QRPp (less than 1/2 w.) Contacts must be made on or after 1 January 2006. GCR accepted. The application should contain call sign of a station worked, the date of the QSO, a band and a mode (CW, SSB etc.), received RS/RST and the name of the town and the letter from this name for the word BAIKAL". The power - Standard/QRP/QRPp - should be specified in a title of the application.

5. ARGA Award
              

The All Russian Grids Award  (ARGA)  has been established by "Irkutsk Award Group" and is available to all amateurs who provide proof of contacts with radio stations located in 100 and more different great quads (QTH-locators) of Russia. Great quads are areas determined by first four alpha-numeric characters of the Maidenhead Grid locator system.   For example, KO85, OO22, MN18 etc.

The following awards are issued:
ARGA-100 for contacts with 100 great quads of Russia.
ARGA-500 for contacts with 500 great quads of Russia.
ARGA-1000 for contacts with 1000 great quads of Russia.
ARGA-1500 for contacts with 1500 great quads of Russia.
ARGA-2000 for contacts with 2000 great quads of Russia.
ARGA-2500 for contacts with 2500 great quads of Russia.
ARGA-ALL for contacts with all great quads of Russia.
(Those who complete the highest level may apply for the plaquette.)

All bands and modes may be used.  Separate awards are issued in MIXED BANDS, 1.8, 3.6, 7, 10, 14, 18, 21, 24, 28 and VHF and UHF bands, MIXED MODES and CW, SSB, FM, SSTV, RTTY, PSK31.
Endorsements are available for QRP (less than 5w.) or QRPp (less than 1/2 w.) and All Satellite QSOs. Contacts must be made on or after 1 January 2006. Contacts may only be made with ground based stations, including mobile and on Russia's rivers and lakes. Contacts made under any call sign by the same operator are OK. If several call signs were used then all of them must be mentioned in the application.

GCR is accepted. The application for the award should contain QSO data in alphabetic order of great quads. The application should contain call sign of the station worked, the date of the QSO, band and mode (CW, SSB etc.), a great quads name (four digits) and the received RS/RST.. The power - Standard/QRP/QRPp - should be specified in a title of the application. 
Award fee is 18 IRC, 12$US, or 10| . The cost of a plaquette is 35|.

6. GLORIA Awards

Grid Locators Of Russia International Award - GLORIA has been established by "Irkutsk Award Group" and is available to all amateurs who provide proof of  contacts with radio stations located in different grid fields of Russia. Grid fields are areas determined by first two letters of the Grid locator system (the Maidenhead grid system). For example, KO, OO, MN etc.

The following awards are issued:
GLORIA-25 for contacts with 25 grid fields of Russia.
GLORIA-30 for contacts with 30 grid fields of Russia.
GLORIA-ALL for contacts with all 35 grid fields of Russia.
(Those who complete the highest level may  apply for the plaquette.)

All bands and modes may be used. Endorsements available for QRP (less than 5w.) or QRPp (less than 1/2 w.) and all Satellite QSOs. Contacts must be made on or after 1 1 January 2006.  Contacts may only be made with ground based stations, including mobile and on Russia's rivers and lakes.  Contacts made under any call sign by the same operator are OK. If several call signs were used then all of them must be mentioned in the application.

GCR accepted. The application for the award should contain QSO data in alphabetic order of grid fields.  The application should contain callsign of a station worked, the date of the QSO, a band and a mode (CW, SSB etc.), a grid field name (two letters) and received RS/RST..  The power - Standard/QRP/QRPp - shoud be specified in a title of the application. .Award fee is 18 IRC, 12$US, or 10€ . 7. Irkutsk Region Districts Award (IRDA)

Contact stations located in different districts of Irkutsk region and Ust' -Ordynskogo buryat autonomous area. On 1 January 2008 the Irkutsk Region and Autonomous area will end their independent existence. Contacts may be made by HF and VHF bands and any modes beginning 12 June, 1991. SWL OK.

Requirements:
a. stations in the Asian part of Russia need 20 regions;
b. stations in the European part of Russia need 10 regions;
c. all other countries need 3 regions.
(A minimum of one contact must be made during 2007.)

You should possess the cards, except that contacts made with the needed districts that are made by stations who submit scores during the annual RDA contest. Your application must include call sign, date, and designation of district in accordance with the official RDA award.  GCR is accepted. Award manager reserves the right to demand any cards for further checking.  Cost of the diploma: Russians - 100 Rubles, other CIS countries - 4E, all others 7E or 10 new IRC.

Kaluga Space Diploma 

Sponsored by the Radioclub of the Kaluzhskaya Oblast.  Contact stations of this oblast during one calendar year.  For 2001, you will need to earn 630 points; in 2002, it will be 631 and increase 1 point per year.  The value for each contact with individual stations = number of years on the air.  Each contact with a club station = 50 points.  For contacts on 1.8 MHz, all point values are doubled.  For stations outside of Europe, point values are also doubled.  On VHF, only 5 contacts are needed.  The same station may be contacted on different bands or modes for credit.  Honorary members of the Sports Technical Club "Signalman" also count:  U1LP  U3FI  U3ABB  U3AF  U3DA  U5NM and UN9CA.  All bands and modes; no date limitations.  SWL OK.  GCR accepted.  Check with sponsor for current charge.  Aply to: Vladimir S. KARELIAN ISLAND AWARD

Awarded for contacting  islands located in Karelia region (R1N) of Russia.  SWL OK. 

Europeans need:

1st Class - 20 different islands of Karelia
Honor Roll - 30 or more different islands of Karelia

Hero of Soviet Union Colonel Semen Sergeyevich Kiselev Award

Sponsored by the club station RK2SWZ and municipality of Chuchkovo (Ryazanskaya oblast).  This award is issued to honor the memory of the hero of Soviet Union Colonel Semen Sergeyevich Kiselev, who was born in Chuchkovsky region of Ryazanskaya oblast. To obtain the award work HAMs of Ryazanskaya oblast. One QSO with the Chuchkovsky region is mandatory (RDA - RA-30). All contacts must be made within one calendar year: Jan 1 till Dec 31. SWL OK.

Diploma of the Republic Of Komi

This award was established by the Regional department of the Union of the Wireless Enthusiasts of Russia from the republic of Komi to increase the activity of amateurs in Komi. Contact stations in the republic of Komi using all bands and modes. Look for UA9X, RA9X, etc. The basic award is earned by achieving any of the 9 levels as shown below. The other levels are then available as endorsements and a plaque when all 9 levels have been earned.

Free Kuban Award

Sponsored by the Krasnodarsky kray Radiosport federation. The award honors the foundation of Ekaterinodar (now - Krasnodar) and Cossac settlements (kuren or stanitsa) in 1793. All settlements were 40. Now they are stanitsas in 20 administrative regions (RDA) in Krasnodarsky kray.

KURSK JUBILEE Award

Sponsored by the Radio Sport Federation of Kursk. This award celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Battle at Kursk in 1943 and 60th anniversary of the founding of Radio Club of Kursk.  During one calendar year, earn 60 points for QSO with HAMs of Kurskaya oblast on any band (except WARC), and using any mode. SWL OK.  Each valid station may be worked for credit one more time on a different band.  Special event stations with prefixes RP3+ UE3+ are active each year on Feb 8 (Liberation Day), Feb 27 (Radio Club foundation), and during the period July 5 - Aug 23 (Battle at Kursk).

c. On VHF or via satellite you need 10 QSOs

The award is available in three classes. 
     1st class: work 18 different stations of the zone 18, among them at least one station of the each one of the above listed oblasts.
     2nd class: work 18 different stations from at least 7 different oblasts located in the zone 18. 
     3rd class: work 10 different stations of the zone 18. 
(QSLs of the SWLs located in the zone 18 are valid for the award purposes

WRSS Award

Contact Russian special event stations. 
Available in 3 classes: 
     1st class - work 20 different stations (Russians need 40) 
     2nd class - work10 different stations (Russians need 20) 
     3rd class - work 5 different stations. (Russians need 10) 
Valid special prefixes include: 1. those using UE prefix 2. those using special call-signs during DX-peditions and contests (like RM4W, RI3A, RU1A, R3HQ etc). 3. those belonging to amateurs societies and clubs using special call-signs (like R1DIG, R9MWS, RS3A, R3RRC etc.) 4. those using special event call-signs during different special events and celebrations (like RP3ZOR, RP9XUK, RH1C etc.) 5. QSOs with R1AN.., R1MV.., R1FJ don't qualify for the WRSS purposes.

MOSCOW AWARD PROGRAM

Sponsored by the Moscow regional department of SRR (Soyuz Radiolyubitelej Rossii or Union of Radio Amateurs of Russia). Contact different municipalities which are found within the city of Moscow since 1 January 2007. All bands and modes. No use of repeaters. SWL OK.  
     Every municipality in Moscow has its own unique identifier. Each municipality may be used one time for the awards. Hams from Moscow may display on their QSL-cards the short name of the municipality, and report it during the QSO: e.g. MOS BR (MOS = Moscow, BR = short name of the municipality).
