Sponsored by the Chuguev radio club "Radiohwylya" in honour of the three time hero of the Soviet Union, pilot I. N. Kozsedub. "Sokol-31" (Falcon-31) is radio call sign of I. N. Kozsedub during Great Patriotic War. Earn 62 points (amount of aeroplanes brought down by I. N. Kozsedub) working members of radio club "Radiohwylya", stations of Sumskaja and Kharkovskaja oblast of Ukraine, Chimkentskaja oblast of Kazakhstan, and members of "The Fifth Ocean" club.

SUMY Award
The "SUDA" award has been established by the Sumy Regional Branch of the UARL supported by the Division of Youth and Family Sumy municipal council. Awarded to all amateurs and SWLs for establishing communications with at least 10 of the administrative districts of the Sumy Region of the Ukraine. Endorsements for 15 and 25 districts worked levels. Contacts since 8-24-1991 on all valid amateur bands using any mode. Please use application as found on their web site.

The T-34 Award
This award was created to honour of inventors and designers of well-known Model T-34 tank of the Russian Army during WWII. .
Class 2: Contact stations located in the following cities which trace the route of movement of the tank during its acceptance testing during March 1940: In a period of no less than 11 days, you must contact the following cities, one or two every day: Kharkov, Belgorod, Kursk, Orel, Tula, Serpukhov, Podolsk and Moscow. (Viewed on a map, the route between these cities is an almost straight line stretching between Kharkov, Ukraine to Moscow, Russia)
Class 1: Contact the locations as noted above for Class 2, but also include
one contact each with:
a. the city of Maloarhangelsk immediately after Kursk.
b. the city of Chuguev which can be made on any of the 11 days
c. the Central area of Moscow RDA: MA-07 where the Kremlin is located which
was the end of the testing route.

Trophy Ukraine
The Izmail Radio Club and private company ORION SHIPPING invites every licensed radio amateur to participate in this annual DX_men Trophy. The aim of this competition is to recognize the top level of really active DX_chasers, operating in 4 of the most popular modes: CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK on the 9 HF amateur bands.
Scoring takes place over a 4 year period. The first period begins January 1st 2000 at 00:00 UTC, and ends on the December 31st 2004 at 24:00 UTC. The next period covers the period 2001 to 2005. And so forth. All licensed amateurs are encouraged to compete.
There is only one category and that is MIXED_mode, meaning SSB, CW, RTTY and PSK.
All HF bands including WARC, 1.8 through 28 MHz are permitted.
A summary sheet shall include the following information:
a. your callsign,
b. your surname and given name,
c. your e_mail address, possible remarks and observations and the
following signed declaration: "I hereby declare that I shown in my
score sheet truly information. I accept the decision of the Trophy
manager.""

The first line indicates the period covered by the application, next is the mode, then a group which shows band/worked countries/confirmed countries. Use one line for each mode. The last figure is total score.
Points: Each worked DXCC country for Trophy period for each mode in competition period counts only once per band and counts for one (1) point.
Multipliers: Each confirmed DXCC country for Trophy period for each mode in competition period counts once per band and counts for two (2) multiplier points.
Total score: The TOTAL SCORE is calculated as sum of total scores for EACH MODE. Total score for each mode is the number of points for worked countries multiplied by the multiplier points. (Software for easier calculation can be downloaded on sites of UKRAINE OPEN: www.qsl.net/ur5fav/ )
The winner is the participant with the highest TOTAL SCORE.
Submission of summary sheet: Provisional (intermediate) summary sheets SHOULD be submitted in arbitrary order, but NOT LESS than TWO times per calendar year, these sheets must contain the information outlined above. Final sheets must reach the Trophy manager by the end of the month following the last day of calendar year.
Closing date for submission of final sheets for TROPHY UKRAINE OPEN 2004 is January 31st 2005.
Those who win the first THREE PLACES will be requested to send to address of Trophy manager their final sheets, confirmed by two licensed amateurs and originals of QSL cards(no e-QSL accepted) for check. After check in all QSL's will be sent back at sponsors expense. Sheets that are sent after the deadline will not be considered for the competition.
Results: Both the interim results and the final results will be published on the UKRAINE OPEN web pages ( www.qsl.net/ur5fav/ ), in the URDX reflector ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/URDX/ ).
Logs and summary sheets should be sent to the Trophy manager only via E-mail ( orionua@izmail.uptel.net ).
Awards and prizes : The participant who placed first will receive a CUP with engraved callsign and year of victory. Also the winner will be entitled to receive from sponsor $US250, for Ukrainian and Russian amateurs, it will be the equivalent in UAH or RUR.
The second place winner will receive an appropriate award. Also the second place will be entitled to receive from sponsor $US150 USD, for Ukrainian or Russian Ham it will be equivalent in UAH or RUR.
The third place winner will receive an appropriate award. Also the third place will be entitled to receive from sponsor $US70 USD, for Ukrainian or Russian Ham it will be equivalent in UAH or RUR. Disqualification will be issued in case of lack of coincidence between claimed result and result after check_in.

WORKED UKRAINIAN CONTEST CLUB MEMBERS (WUCCM) Rewritten 11/12
The Ukrainian Contest Club (UCC) was established in 1990 and currently has in its ranks more than 200 members. In order to increase active participation in various contests, the club has established this award "W-UCC-M". The award is issued to all radio amateurs and SWLs for QSO (SWL) with members of the Ukrainian Contest Club only during contests.
Make at least 50 radio contacts with members of the UCC on any bands or modes beginning from 1 January 1990. The same station may be contacted on different bands and modes for award credit.
Applications should be in alphabetical order by call sign with the usual data showing date, band, mode, membership number and the name of the competition during which contact was made. Club members may earn the award by showing participation in at least 25 different contest events. The application should be witnessed by at least of two radio amateurs, or by an officer of your local radio club. Lists of members are available on their website or may be requested by mail from the manager diploma, enclosing SASE.

Ukrainian Flora Fauna Award
This award program was established in 2006 and requires contacting of different natural parks and protected areas in Ukrania. No date limits on contacts. SWL OK.
Basic Award: Activate one natural park or contact any three such parks on the list of UFF. See the website noted below for complete list of valid parks. Contact program coordinator UR7UT if a park is not listed so he can investigate and add if it meets the requirements.
Endorsement stickers are provided for a total of 5, 10 and 15 parks are available to be attached to the basic award.
For contacting more than 15 parks, the following special
awards are offered:
1. Laminated certificate is issued for 20.
2. A laminated certificate in a wooden frame is issued for 25.
3. A certificate of merit and souvenir globe is issued for 30.
4. Activators also receive a certificate confirming the number of parks they
have activated.
Repeated QSOs from the same park will be credited if such contacts are made with different expeditions. Separate rules and awards apply for activators. See their website for details. Ukraine World Fauna Flora Award (WFF)
Issued by the Ukraine WFF group for contacting stations operating in protected areas (PAs) of Ukraine. This program is supported by the UARL. The official list of the specially protected natural territories of Ukraine is found on their web site. All bands and modes are accepted for the awards. No time limitation.
Award Class I = 30 URFF references.
Award Class II = 20 URFF references.
Award Class III = 10 URFF references.
Honour Roll Plaque = 50 URFF references.
The custodian suggests that you make use of the LogSearch which may be accessed at: http://ew4dx.org/WFFsearch.html . Most WFF expeditions download their logs to the EW4DX website and you may conduct a quick search to see how many you have in all countries which have a WFF program. General Requirements: A series of anodyzed aluminum printed plates mounted on a natural wood backing and sponsored by the Southern Ukraine DX Foundation. No restrictions on time of QSO, band or mode. UKRAINIAN LIGHT HOUSES AWARD
The award is given for contacting different active
lighthouses
in the Ukraine. SWL
OK. Europeans need 5 and
all others need 3. Endorsements for 10 and 20. All bands
and modes. Valid
contacts are made between legally licensed amateur physically present at a
lighthouse or within a 1000 meter distance of such lighthouse. Contacts must be
made from the same DXCC entity.
Silver Trophy requires confirmations
from 30 different Ukrainian lighthouses.
Gold Trophy requires confirmations from 50 different Ukrainian
lighthouses.
The fee is $US35 for each of the trophies. General rules and requirements for the trophy found above.

The lighthouse should be working. If the
lighthouse temporarily does not work, the light equipment should
be in working order. Check with the sponsor for any lighthouses not on the
list which you feel should qualify. Cost of the diploma is 10
UAH for Ukranian applicants, $US4 or 4 IRC for applicants of CIS
countries, or
$US7 or 7€ for all others. Endorsement stickers are
free, but postage must be supplied. SASE for Ukranian
applicants or 1 IRC/$US1 or 1€ for all others. Refer
to the WWW URL for rules which apply to lighthouse activators in

UKRAINIAN MINERS Award
The diploma is dedicated to the voted to celebration of Ukrainian Coal Miners Day held on the last weekend of August each year. Contacts should be made on or after August 16th 1993. Collect a total of 100 points based on the values shown below.
Point values:
1. Special event stations (EO16IKN, EO16IKF, EO16IT, EO16IZ) = 10 points
2. Club stations of Donetsk coal region (first letter of suffix – I, E, M)
and Lvov-Volyn coal region (first letter of suffix – W, P). Every club
station has W,X,Y or Z second letter in suffix. Example: US4IZK: I
– Donetsk region, Z – club station = 5 points
3. All other stations from this regions (first letter of suffix – I, E, M,
W, P) = 1 point

Zdolbunov Diploma
Sponsored by the Zdolbunovsky City Council and the Rovno Office of Zdolbunovsky League of Radio Amateurs of Ukraine. The award is a permanent award available for carrying out radio contacts on or after January 1, 2012 with amateur stations of the city of Zdolbunova and the Rovno area. Within any calendar year it is necessary to earn the number of points which are equal to the number of years from the date of the founding of the city of Zdolbunova. For example, in 2012, you will need 515 points, in 2013 - 516 points etc.
POINT VALUES for each contact:
a. club radio station of the city = 150 points.
b. individual radio stations located in the city =100 points.
c. stations in the Rovno area =20 points.
d. No use of repeaters and the Internet.
e. On VHF it is necessary to make 2 radio communications with
stations in Zdolbunov and 2 contacts in the Rovno area.
f. Same station may be contacted if QSOs are made on different
bands and different modes.
If award is earned in the year 2012, you will receive a
special
anniversary QSL card.
Look for special period of activity annually in City Day
celebration (the second week of September), when Zdolbunov's amateurs will be
active.
To amateurs of Zdolbunov the diploma may be earned by making at least 500 contacts during a calendar year.
The Diploma "Zdolbunov" is free, although for a paper copy, the sponsor requests you send postage in the sum of 10 hryvnias (for inhabitants of Ukraine), or 3 IRCs (in an equivalent) for other countries.
