CANARY ISLANDS DIPLOMA "VÉRTICES GEODÉSICOS DE TENERIFE"
On the occasion of having operated from all the geodesic vertices of the island of Tenerife, I offer this diploma to colleagues who have communicated or communicate with me while operating as EA8BFH / QRP in some geodetic corner of Tenerife. There will be three diploma categories: i
1. Bronze category: by QSO in 17 vertices
2. Silver category: by QSO in 26 vertices
3. Gold category: by QSO in the 52 vertices.
The Vertices Geodesicos of Tenerife refers to land markers in the form of a heavy square concrete slab with a tall concrete cylinder. They are used to prove ownership of the land owner. Apparently there are 52 on the islands, and the award recognizes the 33% with 16, 66% for the 26th and finally all of them which is 51 for 100%. If you look closely on the image, you can see the cylindrical structures which are easier to see versus explaining them. (K1BV)
There is no need to send QSL, just a list with the QSO data (date, time, band, mode, signal report and vertex).
The diploma will be sent free of charge as a printable image (.pdf file). Those who wish to receive it printed by mail should send 5.00 EUR to cover printing and shipping costs.
