WHAT ARE DOK"S?
Most German awards require that the DOK's be clearly included on the member’s QSL card.

The DOK is a special identifier which shows other stations the club that the owner of the DOK and is usually identifies the user’s club.

The first letter of the “DOK”  is used to identify the district, and the next two numbers identify the respective club in the district.   I think that the DOK is printed on almost all German QSL’s.

For example, DK4SY uses DOK P05. P is the District of Wuertemberg and 05 identifies the Radio Club of Heilbronn. DOK P40 is another radio club in the same town. German stations are excellent at including this identifier on their QSLs, since a very important use is that of a QSL distribution system.   It provides a way to sort cards to the respective clubs monthly.
