GREECE HELLENIC CASTLES-FORTRESSES AWARD
Hellenic Castles and Fortresses were created to give the opportunity to foreign hams to learn and Greek Ham operators to promote and to develop better the knowledge of national historic and cultural patrimony.These include castles, fortresses, towers, walls, ruins, etc from various historical periods of Greece.
The term “Hellenic Castles” and “fortresses”,(HCF), describes for amateur radio operators, the operating from castles, fortresses, towers, etc.
Identification Of References
-Two letters for city, province, prefecture or region.
For example: TS, for the city of Thessaloniki, “PR”,for the city of Pieria, “CH”, for the prefecture of Chalkidiki
-Three numbers for the activation order. castle worked in a city, province, prefecture or region.
Expeditions
The distance before the object and radio amateur operation can take place is more than 1 kilometer.and may concern one castle at one at the same time. To be validated, the activation from Hellenic Castles and fortresses (HCF), a minimum of 50 contacts using HF or 30 contacts in VHF – UHF should be made within one single operation period,(in other words, in less than 4 days. .Activators will be able to register in Log stations only once. Each activation can be done once every calendar year. Copy of the log-book (on paper or electronically in adif or cabrilo format) should be submitted to the HCF Manager SV2HSY within the following one month after the activity.
Important Note: Only direct radio communications are accepted. Contacts via repeaters, links, satellites are NOT acceptable.
Recommendations: During the radio amateur operation, it is recommended to the operator to give some information if there are historical data concerning the origin and the history of the castle.(This means that there should NOT be report and signal report, type of radios used, power and antennas.)
Any Amateur Radio Operator who activated one castle should provide within one month the HCF Manager, a copy of their Logbook, including a picture showing the castle, the radio station and a short video.
Conditions Radio Operators who activate HCF before the list updated (Before 07-10-2018), are valid..
HCF awards Conditions:
1. The program of Hellenic Castles & Fortresses Award includes 5 diplomas and E-Awards series for QSOs/SWLs with radio stations working around the world.

Indonesia Indonesian Alphabet Award
The Indonesian Alphabet Award is issued to Radio Amateurs/SWL worldwide that can prove to have made 2-way radio contacts / heard in Amateur HF bands with stations of Radio Amateurs situated on the Indonesian territory. The goal is to collect 26 stations working from Indonesia by the first letter of their call sign from A to Z. In the application, QSOs must be specify in alphabetical order by the first letter of the suffix.
1. All QSOs must be made on or after July 9, 1968.
- Applicants must have made the QSOs /HRDs from same DXCC Entity.
- Domestic and foreign operators operating portable such as YB8RW/3 or YB8/DL3KZA are also valid.
- Applicants must have made the QSOs /HRDs from same DXCC Entity.
2 Award
The Indonesian Alphabet Award is issued in 4 categories:
a. Phone : all 26 QSOs in Phone mode
b. CW : all 26 QSOs in CW mode
c. Digital : all 26 QSOs in Digital mode, regardless of submode
d. Mixed : all 26 QSOs in Mixed mode of Phone, CW and Digital
There will be no band endorsement
3 QSO crediting
a. The QSL cards are not required, but they must be in possession of the applicant and must be produced upon request for inspection. (by scan and sending via e-mail).
b. Claim must be accompanied by QSL card list (GCR) furnished with the call signs of stations worked, dates, times, bands, modes. Alternatively a list of stations worked with a copy of the QSL cards can be used as well. Applicants may attach the list and scans of the QSL cards.
c. eQSL, LoTW, Clublog and other electronic confirmation can be used.

INDONESIA Worked Indonesian Kabupaten Kota (WIKK)
1. What is WIKK
The Worked Indonesian Kabupaten Kota (WIKK) award is an International Award Program with the goal of attracting interest in Amateur Radio through the communication with various Kabupaten (Regency) and Kota (City) of Indonesia. The "WIKK" program is established to encourage making confirmed contacts with the greatest variety of Indonesian areas according to IKK Number. There are currently 11 different certificate awards varying in difficulty and complexity, and also a Plaque and Throphy available for "Honor Roll" and "Honor Roll #1".
2. Rules
a. The Worked Indonesian Kabupaten Kota (WIKK) Award is available to all licensed radio amateurs and SWLs everywhere in the world.
b. WIKK is issued for radio contacts with specified numbers of Kabupaten (Regency) and Kota (City) in the Indonesian territory.
c. All QSO/HRDs must be made on any amateur HF bands, on or after August 17, 1945 (Indonesia Independence Day).
d. Special event call signs and portable operation are also valid in this program, as long as it has information about the location (Kabupaten or Kota).
e. Endorsements may be requested for bands (Mixed and any Single Band) and modes (CW, Phone, Digital and Mixed). If an endorsement is not specifically requested, the Award will be issued in Mixed Bands and Mixed Modes.
f. Confirmation of QSO/HRDs are necessary. The confirmation may be provided as QSL card paper or any electronic form (LoTW, e-QSL, Clublog etc.) as far have detail information of the station location (Kabupaten or Kota).
g. It is not necessary to submit QSL Cards, however they must be in possession of the applicant and must be produced upon request for inspection (by scan and sending via e-mail).
h. Applicants must have made all QSOs/HRDs from same DXCC entity.
3. Application and Fee

IRELAND The Worked EI Counties Award
The Worked EI Counties (“WEIC”) Award is for working (or hearing) stations located in different counties of Ireland. The original rules and conditions for the WEIC Award were drawn up and proposed by Michael McNamara EI2CL in 1982-83, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the IRTS in 1932.
In December 2006, the requirement for QSL cards was replaced by a requirement for a certified log extract.
Rules
1. The WEIC award, issued by the Irish Radio Transmitters Society, is available to licensed amateurs worldwide who have worked stations located in different counties of Ireland (EI/EJ). It is available to SWLs on a “heard” basis.
2. A claim for the WEIC Award must be accompanied by a certified log extract (see below), to include date, time, frequency, mode, station worked and its county.
3. Contacts made only on or after January 1st 1982 are valid.
4. There will be a charge of €5.00, Stg £5.00 or US$10.00 for the award.
5. Band endorsements will be available at the time of first application.
6. A separate “All 26” sticker will be available for confirmation with all 26 counties.
7. For applicants in EI only:
All contacts must be made from the home station. Contacts made via repeaters or while operating mobile, portable or from an alternative address are not usable for the award.
8. Requirements: Work/hear at least 20 of the 26 EI/EJ Counties.
9. Award Requests
a. A log extract, certified as a correct extract from the claimant’s log by an officer of a Radio Club or by two licensed radio amateurs / experimenters, should be submitted to the Awards Manager.
