CANARY ISLANDS        DIPLOMA "VÉRTICES GEODÉSICOS DE TENERIFE"

On the occasion of having operated from all the geodesic vertices of the island of Tenerife, I offer this diploma to colleagues who have communicated or communicate with me while operating as EA8BFH / QRP in some geodetic corner of Tenerife. There will be three diploma categories:

1. Bronze category: by QSO in 17 vertices
2. Silver category: by QSO in 26 vertices
3. Gold category: by QSO in the 52 vertices.

The Vertices Geodesicos of Tenerife refers to land markers in the form of a heavy square concrete slab with a tall concrete cylinder.  They are used to prove ownership of the land owner.  Apparently there are 52 on the islands, and the award recognizes the 33% with 16, 66% for the 26th and finally all of them which is 51 for 100%.  If you look closely on the image, you can see the cylindrical structures which are easier to see versus explaining them. (K1BV)

There is no need to send QSL, just a list with the QSO data (date, time, band, mode, signal report and vertex).

The diploma will be sent free of charge as a printable image (.pdf file). Those who wish to receive it printed by mail should send 5.00 EUR to cover printing and shipping costs.

To request the diploma or any question, send an e-mail to kikogara65@hotmail.com .

THE AUSTRIAN AMATERU RADIO SOCIETY

The ÖVSV (Österreichischer Versuchssenderverband = Austrian Amateur Radio Society)

ÖVSV is a non-proft organisation to support and maintain amateur radio. Its activities cover the whole territory of the Republic of Austria. ÖVSV is the Austrian member society of the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU), Region 1.

The Umbrella Organisation ("Dachverband")
The task of the National Umbrella Organisation is to represent ÖVSV internationally, in the IARU, and to maintain contact with amateur organisations of neighbouring countries and the competent ministries and federal authorities of the Republic of Austria.

The nine provincial associations and the Austrian Military Radio Society (AMRS) are organised locally and in their respective districts, see Austrian District Locators (ADL). Each association has its own head and a presidency similar to the setup of the umbrella organisation. The main task of the provincial associations is to care for their members and to represent the ÖVSV vis-à-vis the provincial authorities, and, in the case of AMRS, vis-à-vis the Austrian MoD.

This awards of the ÖVSV can be obtained from all radio amateurs and SWLs for radio contacts with Austrian amateur radio stations.  The coats of arms of all federal states and the logo of the AMRS are depicted on grey backgrounds. The diploma was designed by OE5RI and it was recognized by the ÖVSV in January 2012.

USA            The Flying Pigs QRP Club International

The originator of this “novelty” club name represents a group of “No Dues, No Rulels, Just Fun”as their motto.  It’s really a gentle mocking of the perfection of the “Top” stations and their adventures with QRO.

Aubrey says that the FP “Strive to promote the art, skill and fun of lower realms of Amateur Radio Communications to our fellow amateur Radio Operators.  They also strive to promote the homebrewing of Amateur Radio Equipment to the same.

Sheldon regrets  that he had to raise prices slightly due to the increased costs of ink, paper stock and postage (mostly because of US postage increases). New Prices, including shipping are $6.75 US, $7.75 Canada and $8.00 DX,

The certificate is printed in color on high quality parchment paper suitable for framing and designed to be proudly displayed on your shack wall.

USA - CO            The CQC Work All Colorado Counties Award
(Work All Colorado Counties QRP Award)

The Colorado QRP Club offers the Colorado Counties Award for amateur radio stations making QRP contact with Colorado counties.  From time to time CQC will facilitate the earning of this award by putting counties on the air as designated County Stations.

The Basic Certificate is offered for working any five of the sixty-four counties in Colorado. Special colored seals are awarded for working all of the counties within one of the geographic sections described in the Counties List.

Only contacts made on or after January 1, 1995 UTC will qualify.

All contacts must be made using the amateur bands (HF, VHF, UHF) and the applicant must adhere to all FCC rules and regulations while working other stations. The applicant  for this award must make all contacts using 5 watts out or  less. Endorsements will be available for Single Mode, and for 100% - QRP to QRP.

The applicant for this award must make contact and then exchange call sign and report without relays or the use of terrestrial repeaters. Contacts must be initiated at 5 watts or less.

Contacts may be made to or from fixed, portable, or mobile stations. There is no restriction on the location of the applicant during the contacts; ie, the applicant is not limited to residing or making contacts from within a certain area, but "roving pairs" are not allowed. The expression "roving pairs" refers to two mobiles following each other around, and making contact while relatively close to each other.

QSL cards need not be sent with application for the award. However, the Awards Chairman reserves the right to request verification by photo-copy of original Logbook pages, by cross checking of official County Station logs, or by any other means available to him. Whether or not to accept any claimed contact is solely within the discretion of the Award Chairman.

County lines may be worked for credit for not more than two counties. No "wet" county lines will be accepted-- county lines that follow rivers, creeks or lakes, may not be worked as a county line.

You need not be a member of the Colorado QRP Club to apply for the award.

Each application for a certificate or "upgrade seals" must be accompanied by a check or money order in the amount of $3.00 to help defray the cost of the program.

        Danish Lightship
        Fyrskib XXI Diplom
        Managed by: OZ7DAL

For contacts with lighthouses and lightships worldwide.

This diploma issued by OZ7DAL may be claimed by any call, individual, club or special event station.
A QSL received by a club or special call ALSO counts for the operator's personal application if his/her name or call is obvious from the QSL.
The award does NOT have to be worked from a single location, county or  continent – So it is OK also to hunt LIGHT-stations from the holyday QTH or its local club station.

QSL for ctc with OZ7DAL made on any 25 March, is a "JOKER" and count for any otherwise required contact.

Contact amateur stations duly authorized to operate from active or inactive lighthouses or lightships anywhere in the world on or after 25 Mar. 1994.
The possibility of electronic interference may prevent amateur radio transmissions directly from the premises, since they are often used as transmission or relay points for many kind of communications. For that reason, authorized operations from a location within the lighthouse premises or up to 300-400 yards away are valid for the diploma. Direct contacts with minimum RS(T) 33(8) on any band or mode. Cross mode/-band QSO’s are OK.

Please note, that a Lighthouse QSL (ex. from an IOTA expedition) is NOT necessarily indicates, that the operation complies with the rules for this Diploma.

SWL applications are accepted and SWL’s need only send a list of stations heard.
Amateurs with VHF/UHF permission are encouraged to apply with a mix of SWL and QSL's
QSLs must reflect QTH (photo QSL, official stamp on QSL or similar).
A list showing details of contacts should be certified by 2 officials of your radio club or 2 licensed amateurs. If this is not possible, then the actual cards must be sent to sponsor together with sufficient IRC’s for their return. OX, OY, OZ stations apply direct to OZ7DAL with
QSLs and sufficient postage for their return.
The sponsor reserves the right to call for the applicant to submit any or all of the cards listed on the application. Diploma can be claimed only if the contacts are made/heard over a period of MORE than 7 days.

When is OZ7DAL QRV? See “MANNING” www.oz7dal.dk
